THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE TULIP SKIRTS : WOMEN'S WORLD

ABOUT THE TULIP

Tulip skirts are defined by extra folds or fabric at the hips, a thin hemline and a cinched waist. The skirt comes in a range of fabrics, length and styles. The shape of the skirt can be very flattering on different body types- pear, hourglass, inverted triangle and rectangle. Tulip skirts are versatile and can be worn for different occasions.

Although at first glance it might seem that the tulip skirts extra fabric around that waist and hips would not work on curvier figures, in fact the exaggerated shape is very flattering on women with fuller hips (pear and hourglass). They can also fit slimmer figures (inverted triangle and hourglass) by adding soft curves.

HOW TO STYLE THE SKIRT
*Tops: As for casual wear, the skirt can be topped by a slim-fitting top in short, three-quarter or long sleeves. The top can be scoop neck, v-neck or turtle neck. The slim fit creates a soft line that balances the tulip's flare. The top can be tucked into the skirt or not. For cooler/business days, a cropped blazer can be worn for brighter look.

*Shoes: Tulip skirt looks best with heels, whether round toe or pointed, high or
kitten. Flats shoes and sandals aren't left out either. For a more glamor look, gladiator sandals can be worn.

*Accessories: To keep the leg warm during cold days, wear tights under the skirt. A wide belt can be worn with the top tucked in to emphasize the waist. Decorate the outfit with accessories like pearl necklace, pearl stud earrings and a chain or cuffed bracelet.
