NABTEB releases May/June 2017 results

THE National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released results of the May/June 2017 NABTEB examinations with 58.75 per cent scoring credits and above in Mathematics and English Language.

Registrar/Chief Executive of NABTEB, Prof (Mrs) Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, disclosed this Tuesday while briefing journalists at NABTEB’s headquarters in Benin.

She said out of the total number of 57,387 candidates that sat for the May/June 2017 NABTEB examination, 33,712 candidates scored five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics and that 47,360 candidates, representing 82.53 percent, candidates scored five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.

Representing 82.53% in the National Business Certificate/National Technical Certificate examinations while only 1,905 candidates were involved in examination malpractice representing 3.26% of the total number that sat for the examinations.

She pointed that NABTEB recorded drop in examinations as the figure came down to 1,905, representing 3.26 per cent, as opposed to 2,273, representing 3.42 per cent, in 2016.

Prof Ifeoma said a total of 58,448 candidates enrolled for the examinations in 1,458 centres but only 57,387 candidates sat for the examinations representing 98.18 per cent of the total enrolment.
