Acting President Osinbanjo condemns London Bridge attack
Acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, has
condemned the terror attack on London
Bridge, the United Kingdom, describing it as
the the sickening atrocity perpetrated by a
misguided and cowardly group of terrorists.

The acting president, in a statement issued by
his senior special assistant, Mr Laolu Akande,
condoled the families of the victims of the
attack, Vanguard reports.
The statement read: “ Prof Osinbajo states that
Nigeria stands with the government and
people of the United Kingdom and extend our
condolences to the families of the victims.

Osinbajo said that the attack in the U K
“ reinforces the need for the global community
to act with greater vigour to overcome the
extremist ideologies which underpin
terrorism”.

The terrorists reportedly drove the van
through people before stepping out to stab
some of their victims with knives.
According to police reports, the three
terrorists tried to gain access into a pub but
the staff locked it very quickly.

The attackers wore fake bomb vests but were
all gunned down by the police within eight
minutes after their arrival.
